Erin Oliver is fascinated by the process of using subtle materials and the effects of light to transform spaces into large-scale habitable environments. She uses the figure as a tool for investigating landscape, creating intimate spaces to explore the interactions between bodily forms and landscape elements and inserting the viewer within the artwork. Recently Erin has exhibited her large-scale installations at Artspace in Raleigh, as well as Room 100 Gallery and the Carrack Modern Art in Durham. Erin currently resides in Durham, NC and works as an artist and educator. She holds an Art Education degree from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.
